Nancy O'Dell's initial job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston on how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with leniency caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell was honored by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. She also works as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Co-hosted also the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
